In the summer and fall of 2023, the Washington State Health Care Authority’s IECMH team held 10 listening sessions with 96 behavioral health providers across the state to better understand challenges and solutions for improving access to IECMH services.
Providers shared best practices and challenges for seven main themes, many supported by evidence:
- IECMH workforce
- Mental Health assessment for young children
- Mental Health treatment for young children
- Services in home and community settings
- Caregiver engagement
- Allied professional collaboration
- IECMH funding
