Describe your role at Perigee Fund

My role at Perigee is to support our program team and grants manager in the grantmaking process through project management and administrative coordination, as well as organizing, tracking, and synthesizing programmatic work.

Related to your role, describe what you are passionate about and/or what is the philosophy you bring to the organization?

I am passionate about increasing accessibility to mental health care for all families. I know firsthand the impact and importance of having access to mental health care as a child and how it shaped my sense of self and belonging in this world. I hope to be a part of a system that provides this integral support and guidance to all children in our communities.

Tell us a little bit about your professional background starting with your most recent position.

My professional background begins in the nonprofit space, first in operations and program management, then volunteer management, and rounding out my time in fundraising and event planning. Beginning in 2020, I took a detour into legal education, supporting and managing experiential education programs at law schools in Texas and then Washington. Along the way, I earned my psychology degree and felt it was time to combine my education and my experience in a meaningful way, using my skillset to advance important work in the mental health field – which brought me to Perigee.

What excites you about working with Perigee Fund?

I am excited to work alongside so many intelligent, kind, and caring people who are passionate about providing much needed care to families in our communities.

What is your favorite way to develop early connections with the babies and young children in your life?

I come from a family of chefs and bakers who show love through sharing food. We love to have our kiddos in the kitchen with us, teaching them our family recipes and seeing what new things they come up with, too!
