Describe your role at Perigee Fund.
I manage the full lifecycle of grants, oversee our grants management system, and use data to improve processes, collaboration, and decision-making.
What are you passionate about and/or what is the philosophy you bring to the organization?
I’m passionate about working collaboratively to solve problems and build strong networks that amplify impact. I believe that when people unite around a shared goal, anything is possible. I love creating systems that help teams work more effectively—and I love data! Making data meaningful and accessible is one of my favorite ways to support learning and growth.
Tell us a little bit about your professional background.
Before joining Perigee, I worked at Adara Development, a nonprofit focused on helping mothers and babies survive and thrive in East Africa. I led our grants and partnerships, helping to expand our impact through collaboration. Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked with grants across a range of organizations—including Fred Hutch Cancer Center, Optum, and Adara—with a focus on implementation, policy, and knowledge sharing.
What excites you about working with Perigee Fund?
As a mom who experienced birth trauma, I’ve seen firsthand how vital maternal and infant mental health care is. I’m deeply committed to advancing health equity for moms and babies. The earliest stages of life—from pregnancy through early childhood—lay the foundation for lifelong health and well-being, and every person deserves the chance to thrive. I’m honored to be part of a team working to ensure that care is available to all.
What is your favorite way to develop early connections with the babies and young children in your life?
Snuggling has always been a favorite of mine! As my kids have grown, I still love snuggling—along with singing, reading, and dancing in the kitchen together. I’m also
continually inspired by the science behind kangaroo care and the many ways we can nurture early bonds and support children’s development.
